I am not counting him off, I still see him as a 10-15 goal per season guy (which is basically among the top scorers in the I-League and better than almost all Indians) but I felt that Akram would have been better.
Churchill Brothers set to take their former sponsors Kunnath Phamaceuticals( Musli Power) and their current sponsors NVD Solar to court for non payment of sponsorship money.
Churchill Bros coach Mariano Dias has been invited by DFD Coaching, Germany for a three-week football coaching course. The former India player and assistant coach had previously undergone a coaching course two years ago in the same country following a recommendation from the AIFF.
“This is a big opportunity for me and others who have done extremely well. It’s a rare chance that will enhancemy knowledge in contemporary football. I am happy to be included amongst world’s top coaches,” stated a cheerful Dias.
The Navelim based AFC ‘A’ Licence holder had offers to coach teams outside India but he has firmly decided to be part of Indian football.
“Coaching an I-League team is a huge challenge and I am always ready for a new challenge. The team has showed excellent work ethic that has allowed us to top the I-League,” Dias added.
