  • when marketing and league get better the rest of I-League be there.

that says it all doesn't it?

what do you mean "that says it all". I am just pointing out if the league had good marketing skills and as big stadiums as EB and MB and PU and PA then they would all have the same or close to the same.

    I like the 'WHEN' part
  • I don't know whether your being serious or funny because "when" marketing gets better will be when AIFF decide to do something and not laze around. "Oh look we have more money, mission accomplished" yet what happens to the money. Some people should really look into the stories of the New York Cosmos or Sydney Olympic FC to understand what is going on.
  • North East clubs are the only ones who are compareable to Kolkata clubs in terms, that I will give you. As for clubs in Delhi and Nagpur, they are just hypothesis now. We all know what a big crowd puller Mumbai FC eventually became.

The Nagpur Premier League regularly drew a full crowd. The Delhi Senior Division also does as well during there play-offs. Also Mumbai FC has not been tested fully yet. We will see in March how good Mumbai can be.

Don't doubt these places. They have the passion, they just need the marketing.

people of mumbai love the game of football in similar way they show love for cricket....all they need currently is a club which could direct the routes of these fans to cooperage,in recent times mumbai fc is getting involved in some community development activities my playing some charity matches...
dont know how much will help their cause but may be if not mumbai fc any other club who understands the capacity of the club if do the job towards it then they can surely become one of the largely followed club in india easily

Mumbai FC is a half-hearted attempt. Crowd pulling is not a big rocket science. Just enough of marketing and hype should do it. If a certain Nagpur Premier League can do it, why not I-league.
The other factor, and which is more crucial, is retaining that crowd. If you do not give them some entertainment, why would they think coming to the stadium is worth their while?

<!-- s:bow-plusone: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/bow/plusone.gif" alt=":bow-plusone:" title="PlusOne" /><!-- s:bow-plusone: --> If we can just market each I-League team properly they can get crowds. Some places like Kolkata and the NE dont have to market as much (For Kolkata its only MB and EB the other 2-3 have to change locations)

Mumbai is a great location, same with Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, and Kerala. They just need to have proper marketing. Hopefully Mumbai FC tries to bring in the fans through marketing more than they did before. Like starting there online youtube channel again and revamp there website and also start ticket stands all across Mumbai. Also sell TV advertisments on a local Mumbai/Maharashtra channel. Get yourself out there.
