That is neither here nor there... my point is that these unpaid amateur athletes get these world-class facilities (the circumstances they get them for is for another day) but in India we are no where near getting these type of facilities.
I agree about facilities. I have been to USOC Olympic Training Center at Colorado Springs. If yu get an opportunity, you should visit the one at Lake Placid. They used to have Guided Tours at Colorado Springs. Real eye opener as far as Indian facilities are concerned.
Damn, that is impressive. Heard about it but never actually looked into it.
And also, before someone says this, I understand how much money it takes to make these facilities and how Indian football clubs don't have them and that ISL teams will never do this and if they do it would be years before they do so but why can't we just get the basic facilities like a good field or two with a clubhouse.
Actually, does the BCCI or any IPL teams have any kind of facilities.
Hm, this is actually quite the eye-opener for me. I can understand why the guys on this forum are against the ISL because the IPL is literally all money. I mean, American sports are like that as well, all money and stuff but at least we put the money towards the facilities and academies (same in England and more so in Germany and places like that) yet here it seems we just get the money but barely put it to the other things to make it better.

BCCI got NCA at Bangalore. But then considering the funds at the disposal of BCCI, they should have made it at a much grander scale.

All that splashing of money in IPL parties and TV deals is not flowing to Academies for sure. Look at this article
