If they can do the whole ground then its far superior to whatever MB has done.....if they just get a training facility somewhere else and use it under floodligts for CFL & ileague matches (non derby) it will be as good as any in SEAsia
I am pretty sure army can be made to see the logic of wasted wooden stands being replaced by quality modern seats...tgats a lame excuse for the big three...their "tents/clubhouses" need these improvements..not everything old need be good & worth preserving
Wooden stands have been long replaced by Steel stands in all the 3 enclosed grounds. But bucket seats in the entire area is still not permitted by the army. Only in the respective members' enclosure has been allowed after much discussion in Mohun Bagan & EB grounds. Can't say about MSC ground.
To move one brick from this place to that place you need approval from Army since the British days. No Sports Minister could find time to sort out the matter with them once & for all. That's why Maidan even remains closed from 1-15 October each year. Strange but true. Like many things.....this is also accepted.
