I don't know what to make of this move. Is the management out there to prove a point that we can play the derby with lesser foreigners than Bagan? Or are we going by the ex-BFC tagline?
Fully agree with the comments of Dr. Arkajit Dasgupta, an EB fan, made on Twitter
This is @QuessConnect CEO's "sincere attempt" to bring a foreigner b4 Derby? A loan from January? When our foreign striker is doubtful n our midfield general is released? This is d attempt he made? Is Sen an idiot? Or does he think @eastbengalfc fans r idiots? @QEBNA@ProbasheEB
The thing is, EB is the same old wine in a new bottle. We don't have any definite plans and programmes, just the same old hire and fire. And importantly, why Dovale? I am not saying he isn't a good player. But he is a winger/forward, just like Colado. We needed a more central player to fill in Amna's shoes, and am I to believe that there is any dearth of good Hispanic CAMs?
I would disagree. I have had the misfortune of watching many worse players donning the Red and Gold shirt, so Toni isn't that objectionable. The question is regarding the rationality of this signing under the present circumstances.
