It has been reported that Quess officials have asked Alvito not to interfere in any affair related to the football team...they have reportedly asked the footballers to dissociate themselves from him and informed the club by letter about their decision
In other news, East Bengal's away match against Chennai would be played at 5 p.m. instead of 7:30 p.m.
It seems that the removal of Alvito from football affairs by Quess has ruffled quite a few feathers in the East Bengal camp. Some officials have questioned Quess's decision, reasoning that Alvito is not a salaried staff of Quess and hence they have no right to interfere in such affairs. The "redoubtable" recruiter cum scouting personnel cum Mr. Indispensable has himself taken umbrage at this decision, stating that he is yet to receive any official letter regarding this. Alvito has said that he is ready to give a befitting reply to the Quess authorities if and when he receives the letter, adding that he will consult his lawyers if needed. However, East Bengal fans have come out wholeheartedly in support of Quess, particularly on social media, giving them a big thumbs up for their decision.
The message from the fans seems to be loud and clear: transparency and professionalism is the need of the hour, crooks and old fogeys will no more be tolerated in Indian football
Good for EB; atleast fans are taking the right steps which the officials ought to have taken a decade back - when it comes to parting ways with Alvito.
This also shows in Kolkata, fans know the murky politics and corruption which is ruining Kolkata football and hence officials are exposed.
Even better, that Quess has understood is giving a patient hearing to the fans and making the right noise.
Btw, this news has been spread by Sangbad Pratidin. The same news paper owned by MB President. All of the media outlets owned by these rascals have been sidelined by East Bengal in recent months, this is nothing but yellow journalism by these scums.
@eastbengalfc Academy North Bengal Main Team is participating in the @BhutanFootball organised Samtse International Championship. We played Paro FC today and drew 1-1 in our opening Group Encounter.

East Bengal's 18 member squad against Indian Arrows...However, since Johnny Acosta is 1 yellow card away from a 1 match suspension, Kingshuk might play instead of Johnny since the Arrows match is followed by the crucial away match against Chennai City
