Dont think India (the current government) has the will and thought to host an international competition. Also, India does not have the necessary infrastructure in place for any large scale competition. Moreover, India does not need to host such competition to increase tourism or investment. Globally, India is growing both financially and in terms of tourism. Lastly, apart from cricket (thanks to sudden increase in interest in cricket post 1984 world cup win), India does not have the financial backbone to host such huge competition be it football or athletics. So the cost of investment for such competition to amount of gain is not much for India to show any seriousness.
@reddevil87 ; I am not talking about organising Olympics or Commonwealth Games or Asian Games. even tournaments like Asian Volleyball Tournament or Qualifiers in Boxing, Wrestling for next Olympics or tournament in Badminton used to be and can be organised in India. Earlier we used to organise it in previous Governments where Sports Ministers were active. In Pune we had Volleyball Junior World Cup. In Hyderabad we organised World Cup in Badminton. We use already infrastructure in that-not much financial backbone is needed. But we have to meet with people, show some interest. Suddenly we have lost infrastructure since 2014 in this new Government? Previously we had financial backbone and now we do not have it? Even U-17 World Cup deal or SAAF Games was done in previous government. Olympics is one occassion where you meet bigwigs of various Sports Bodies and one should promote India there instead of promoting "Tax Deduction" of a Businessman in India.

Of the 50 teams, two of them are ISL teams. A start I guess from having none the season before.
Anyone know the criteria to get into the AIFF Youth League or is it just sign up and you are in?

Best bet is to have a tieup with a school and have their ground used for the competition.
If the school is helpful we can also have kids see the match which will add to the fanfare.
They do exist
