No one knew Haaland till he scored 9 goals in 2019 U20 World Cup match against Honduras. Norway won 12-0 that match, but failed to qualify to knockout (16 from 24 teams). Haaland didn't score in any other match, but he got golden boot by big margin.

He was already at RB Salzburg, but media attention reached him only after that match.
