JPN score two extra time goals score 8-4 now. Our team should learn from these games.

Indian fans including the ones here at IFN are so fickle minded. We have big expectations in our head without understanding the reality and are quick to criticise youngsters when most people here might not have even played college ball. Of course we don’t have a youth league so what are you expecting? Quick to judge if a batch or a coach is shit without encouraging and believe in them
There was nothing to encourage in the first 2 matches

We had a very difficult group tbh. At best I expected only a quarter final finish and we fell short of that.

Quarter-finals would have been a result surpassing the expectations but a third place after the matches is a fair result. Because technically we aren't on par with Vietnam.

I felt we were better and more confident than Vietnam. They became confident after a good counter attacking goal. Eventually we have also finished above them

Our captain Karou has a lot of potential. To everyone Bibiano agress to our point we need more tournaments and league instead of friendlies with no consequences.

We are so not on Vietnam's level. Saying so is fooling ourselves and taking a ostrich like approach! Vietnam is also not that technically good but they played a simple passing game, keeping the ball well. We could not even play simple passes or close them down effectively or counter-press the opposition players. We never chased the second balls or tried to intercept opposition passes.
I realise imparting technical coaching is difficult to boys at this advanced age of 16-17 yrs. It needs to imparted much earlier. But Bibiano could have prepared the boys better by increasing their stamina, asking them to play short passes and try to keep the ball as much as we can, to press our opponents relentlessly, to run after every second ball etc. These are aspects which can be taught at any stage of a player's career and these things can make an average them good.

Some goals that India conceded were very soft. Keeper and Defenders made some noob mistakes. Positive thing is scoring 4 goals against Japan. However going forward want to see bigger pool and when this batch moves to U19 we need to qualify for the finals that's when we can consider it as some progress being made

Not sure what happened to our keeper but 3-4 goals should never have been conceded
