On top of it, after leading 2-0, we hardly penetrated Uzbekistan defense in 2nd half. Also lost 2nd game with 3-0 against same team.
Even a point against Japan U-17 team would be an achievement for this team. But don't think it will happen as we are busy playing with Spanish, German & Thailand clubs whereas Japan has played top NT teams from Europe, Africa & America.
Also, instead of spending money on 20-30 kids, not sure why AIFF cannot create proper national youth league. If there is a will, getting a sponsor now-a-days is not difficult. Praful Patel with his available contacts would have done wonders to Indian football. But he did zero development for youth football other than getting hosting rights for U-17 World Cup.
Indian fans including the ones here at IFN are so fickle minded. We have big expectations in our head without understanding the reality and are quick to criticise youngsters when most people here might not have even played college ball. Of course we don’t have a youth league so what are you expecting? Quick to judge if a batch or a coach is shit without encouraging and believe in them
