Congratulations to Minerva for winning in Gothia Cup.I have a personal story that is related to Gothia cup.In 2006,our friend circle started going to football practice at a club in Thane district. Our club used to take trails for Gothia cup,we could see kids from all over Mumbai,Thane and Navi Mumbai flocking for trails as it was our coach who was the main incharge of the trails.Later the selected kids were told to pay Rs 1,50,000.selected kids who didn't succeed in getting sponsorship couldn't go,later any random kid whose parents paid money went there and had fun in Sweden. Most of the selected didn't managed to get money, hence no Sweden.Rich and egoistic kids of South Bombay to were there in that batch, who played u20,u18,U16 too. There were many who played in every age group. Also our coach played as a player in u20.Thing is foreign players at 15,16 were very heavily built for Indians, our adults looked like kids they said .They were humiliated with the scoreline 34-0 in the first match.Everyone did had fun outside the ground.European openness was new for them.As per their description of the tournament, it was more like an European Music festival, were Indian kids used to go,roam with white girls and kicked the ball.No one used to check any age or anything. They got certificate of participation and a Jersey with India printed in it.It was so in 2006,Later next batches were serious about tournament, but paying money part was also mandatory.Eurpean/American team were very serious.Minerva going there and playing as a professional team and winning should be appreciated.Minerva winning Gothia cup will make it very famous in Grassroots.Ranjit Bajaj knows how to market, himself and his academy.
I do remember earlier in the 90s East Bengal uses to participate and infact did quite well. But what their age was cannot confirm and probably mist ofbthem would have been over age. Not these kids, mainly because they were taken at a much young age and also you can tell by their faces and innocence. Regarding game play, go amd check their style and technique. These players will go miles

Yes,earlier Indian teams wouldn't be organised and managed like Minerva in Gothia cup did. Also can't take away any credit and glory from both Mr Bajaj and his academy. This will open a big landscape of opportunities and platform for other grassroots academies and teams all over India whose intention is to leave a mark on Indian football. That tournament is a biggest Grassroots tournament and also a swarm of scouts.India will have a meaningful representation from now on,also skills and style transition when they play in older age group will decide their future and development. One can expect an excellent outcome and association for Grassroots academies like Minerva and others.
The youngster is currently playing his club football in Spain
Krish Senapati is a 17-year-old striker who currently plies his trade for the Getafe International Squad. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Krish has Nigerian descent as well as Indian. As a result of diversity at home and in football, he can speak Hindi, English, Bengali, Spanish, and the very basics of a local language in Lagos called Yoruba.
I don't think the clubs are wrong here. How many camps should clubs release the players for ? Asia Cup is understandable but even 1 month for Asian games come on

The squad looks solid. Shame that some clubs don't want to release players for the long camp.
