Currently shaji makes 12 lakhs per month and when he questioned he said that's his worth. I will not question that infact good for him. But on daily quote Indian players get paid like 6000 each day. I am not sure how to respond to that!
Our team looks exceptional when compared to previous batch, mainly first-touch, passing, understanding b/w players & long-rangers. And most of the players are not even 16 now. We should have strong U-16 & U-19 league & should start playing more friendlies with Japan, S.Korea, Uzbekistan, N.Korea & Australia youth teams.
I'm sure this team will qualify U-17 Asian Cup final tournament with ease. But we need to bridge the gap b/w U-16 & U-19 teams and concentrate more on U-20 AFC Cup qualification. We hosted 2006 U-19 tournament, after that we failed to reach final tournament in 7 consecutive events.

Pls don't hype them too much. We had the last u17 batch hyped up so much and we saw what happened in AFC U16 Asian Cup in Malaysia! They were pathetic. Let these kids enjoy their football without putting too much pressure on them. Make the youth league more robust and competitive so that we have a larger pool of good players.
