Everybody seems to get excited or ashamed by the alleged Match/Spot Fixing in Cricket. But I wonder how VYBK, Kolkata & VK, Barasat get a satisfactory rating by the International observers. I have been pretty regular to both these venues and I can confirm that the approach to the ramps, stair cases, toilets, illumination and crowd safety all are horrible at VYBK at Gate #s 2,3,4. Can you imagine in a Derby match, towards the end or at the end only limited no of exits being opened to the crowd ?? If there is a stampede what will happen God also doesn't know. The Bucket Seats at the VIP enclosures are 50% broken or damaged. At Barasat, the approach to the Galleries and the stair cases on either side of the Players' tunnel are so narrow that you always prefer to wait for 15m in case of a match involving Mohun Bagan and I am sure of EB also to go out at the end of the game. Approaches to the General Stands in rainy season are muddy & pools of water can be found at most places. If this is satisfactory to the Observers, then my hats are off to our Officials for Stage managing the show.
As we all know people learn from their mistakes. Let some accidents happen in VYBK and Barasat only then the concerned administration & AIFF will realise from their mistakes.
@archak i am 100% sure atlist 2 people did suicide by jumping after their team lost mds or mb dont know and 2 or 1 person was also injured i think after a ralling broke
