EDIT - Iraq clubs dont use Black Mumba or Brazilian Panther hence locals
I would not say that, they have their share of old Africans and the one random Brazilian but these foreigners have a history around them. Some of those Cameroonian's have international caps. They even have a Frenchman who arrived from Inverness CT who are currently 2nd in the Scottish Premier League.
That is why I want the AIFF to take a stand on foreigners. Look at the most recent foreign signing. Amos Omeje for Air India has no history at all. Nothing at all. You also have guys like Lamine Tamba, Evans Quao, Salau, Chika Wali, Junior etc who provide nothing to Indian football. Thankfully that is changing with guys with a good past like Edinho Junior, Balal Arezou, Carlos Hernandez, Sho Kamimura, Ángel Berlanga, and O. J. Obatola joining the league but we need more. I can list players that we could use from the lower Brazilian tiers, Japanese 3rd tier, or American 3rd tier who would improve the I-League. We just need to encourage the I-League clubs to do so.
So basically, the AIFF needs to encourage clubs on 2 main things: Better foreigners and better youth development systems. If we can get that right then we are on our way.
Also the amount of clubs does not matter. A-League has 10 teams and is easily the better side than Iraq.
Guys whats the funda behind the success of African teams. They have very poor infrastructure and zero resources as a result very poor leagues structure if any.
There main players play abroad with 35-30 in Europe and rest else where. No league setup,No youth Building nothing but still very good National Teams.(Ivory coast,Nigeria,Cameroon,Senegal ,Ghana and list goes on)
The most systematic ,well structured league in AFRICA would be that of South AFRICA(but if you talk its National team is just ordinary compared to their counterparts). The best known player would perhaps be STEVEN PIENAAR (EVERTON).
So this tells me that having a good league does not really mean a good National team.
any news on him whether he is goin to stay with pune next session????
<br><div><br></div><div>he is with pune fc team mainly because he got used to the pune city with his family settled here....</div><div>so he wont be moving out of pfc unless dsk get in top flight soon</div>
Also it helps that he is half Indian-Gujarati from his father's side. He is used to climate, food, language etc. He can serve as a mentor for future Japanese players coming to India to play in various clubs.<br>

Dont believe stereotypes in Africa. They are more developed in football than you think.
