Yeah but then they were never part of any squad. That time, even thise scheme of OCI card or PIO card was not there. OCI/PIO cards came into existence only in 2005. Those players were then plain Foreign citizens even thoug of Indian origin.

Yes couple of PIOs came to NT camp during SC's first stint but Arata is first one to play for NT.

Khalid Jamil I think was NRI his parents were Indians they didn't took Kuwaiti citizenship.

@ArsenalFan700 khalid Jamil even though born in Kuwait was Indian Citizen. Those countries do not give citizenship to children of foreigners even though born there. Indians living and working in Gulf countries are NRIs and Indian citizens on visas.
