@ Arsenalkid700; , there is nothing here to laugh....... A coach is a coach, no matter if he is a yount team or a NT coach.... Important thing here is, he is a proven performer.... All India need is a coach who can guide them to a decent ranking in another two years....I dont believe in Wim but since he has been recommended by Ban there should be a point, as said by Rudra... Lets wait and watch.....

If u r fine with Wim (who is not proved anything) then why not Raymond (who had proved his skills).... If he can succeed at the youth level, then for sure he will know what to do the Nt level............

but who ever it is..... I wish to see Indian doing good in Football and would also like to see lot of superstarts coming to play in I league....

You will probably get to know his tactical abilities and match reading skills. But no matter what happens in Nehru Cup, it wont reflect what he can do in long term

@viki - Raymond himself didn't accept the offer, so no point contemplating about him anymore

@Rudra - The point here is not abt Raymond, I am stressing that we need to have a coach of his (raymond) calibre....

Why only Wim??????? Invite few more capable candidates and then let them provide their presentation and then take a call after that... Because Wim doesnt have such a good track record....

  • We have done fine. Wim has managed in the Dutch First Division many times. That is more than enough to qualify you for the job as coach of India and also it has been 11 years sense his last head coach job. Ever sense he has been learning through the Dutch youth system and through the Irish system as well (which is well known as well) and also is okay by Rob Baan.

Give him time. He wont do anything at the Nehru Cup. He will probably pick the majority u22 team and a few seniors as he has not seen anyone. We wont see his real squad till the AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers in 2013 and we wont see a true change till probably a year.

It is all about patience.
