True, I can get one and also fulfill the experience requirement. Now, where do I get a "Passion for football"? Does a passion for Aussie rules football count?
Clubs ( Franchises that might actually to be owned in whole or part by Reliance )
Delhi Dynamoes : the Den Group has an existing 50-50 Joint Venture with Star TV called StarDEN & apparently have a JV with Reliance for the 4G
NE Utd FC : IMG-R fronting this as SLFC and John Abraham have no money to put into this. Hope is , this team will be successful and they can flip this to gullible foreign or Indian buyer. Looking at their spending ( or lack of ) this is evident. Anglian involvement is also just as they are joint owners of SLFC. Anglian had given almost 12.5 CR to SLFC for 25% stake in the club , but given it was wasted on players salaries rather than invested , they have insisted on a share in NE Utd to recoup their capital
Goa *^%$ FC : Ambani's brother in-law Mr Dattaraj Salgaocar is a co-owner , enough said . Also Videocon are merger talks ( see link below)
Bengaluru Titans : Pre-sold to the Sun Group Maran , their had been talks of SunTV people and Anil Ambani merging last year but fell thru { http://nextvasia.com/1-cable-dth/sun-group-reliance-merger-called-off/ } this could be part of Mukesh Ambani making merry with SunGroup to kill off any such success for kid brother
FC Pune City : Owners are the DHFL guys , Wadhawans , Salman Khan is just a brand ambassador like John Abraham there is a strong link between DHFL and Reliance not least by the "sponsorship" of their IPL team.
Kerela Blasters FC : another property tycoon in the PVP Group , so must have a similar connection as DHFL with Reliance Home Loans
Now given all this , you honestly expect this to be a proper cleanly run league that will in the long run benefit Indian football ?
Money will be laundered left-right & centre , and will actually make Indian footballers poorer !
We had 84 Indians being "DRAFTED" in a pre-priced bid , where no one wanted the likes of Renedy Singh , Wadoo, Mohanraj , Sushil "Benjamin Button" Singh BUT had to pay exorbitant prices for .
Imagine if there is no I-League & all Indian players are available to the DRAFT and we have an AUCTION....no club will need to bid silly money for any Indian players and can just take them for less than what they paid in year 1 by simple case of supply & demand.
A few like Sunil Chhetri, Harmanjot Khabra , etc would go for above their base prices while most would be snapped up at base price & 100's would be unsold.
So hurry up and get your applications in for any ISL job and make hay while the sunshines , I'm off to find a Dubai bookie and place a bet on Atletico Kolkata to win the ISL !
