Do you think it is possible to play in indian summer. If u think this way, then im sorry to say you are living in a dream. And yeah star sports will have to broadcast lSL cause they have 33% stake in it which means production quality will be high. And anyways ISL does not clash that much with cricket. Football has to coexist with cricket. Isl main aim is to capture epl fans and new comers to football. Obviously, some might think cricket is the thing. But, leme till you BCCI is a money mongering thing. With so many series in an year. People are bored watching cricket
And who said quality is same. How many times does it need to be told that we will have 6 foriegners and 5 indians in starting line up. Foreigners are better than indians. Why can we accept this. As for training sessions, at leats our fellow footballers can learn a thing or two from top quality training sessions with better players. Huh!
So that 'world class' training along with quality foreigners and coaches will convert Rennedy into a world beater, that is, if he can spare some time off Tantra ...
@gaffertape For ISL, Will they play at Mumbai Cooperage Ground with no spectators at stands (as BMC permission is not granted) or will they go to DY Patil Stadium with Cricket Pitch in between?? In both scenario, it will be a joke!!!!
Cool. DY Patil is a lovely stadium and it would not be the first time in history we have seen a cricket-only stadium used for football. Play at DY Patil and then train at Cooperage.
IMO, the ISL will not be defined on this first season. Obviously the first season will not be fully ignored but I don't believe a small start with some problems will be the be-all-end-all for ISL. In the end the ISL will be defined on what it does after season one. What is the future after season one? What are the future plans for ISL? What changes are we to expect?
Who cares about the horrible schedule? If you can not deal with that for 2-3 months then you should not have signed on in the first-place. It is not ideal at all, it could easily have been done using only 4 days a week but whatever, its the first season, mistakes will be made.
And @Sunbha123 here. Welcome to modern football. We are seeing the average 19-year old Englishman go for 16,000,000 pounds. We are seeing massive shirt deals. We are seeing a world where if you want to be a successful league and team you need rich and strong backers with you. Football is a business now. I-League was never going to do shit for us and this ISL may not do it as well... most of it is shit anyway... but it is the best we fucking have so just support the damn thing.
