@arsenalfan, it is not the question of IMG-R's willingness that should matter, it should have been AIFF resolve to overhaul and strengthen I-league.
Right now, ISL is an 8-club affair. Adding 8 franchisees to a refurbished I-league would not be a bad idea. Of course, lucrative markets Kolkata and Goa could not be touched by new teams. Even though, I am sure there would be other league-managers than IMG-R interested.
There is a massive disparity between the ISL and I-League... massive change in quality, money, and rules... it makes it impossible to ever happen. There is a reason why the current investors of ISL choose to reject I-League.
@arsenalfan, @ashlesh's post clears the numbers game (in fact you were the one who advocated gradual, sustainable expansion).
See, numbers are immaterial, we can keep on fighting over it (after all, what is this forum for?), concept is what is important. Also, IMG-R had/ has a hidden agenda, that is one reason to mercy-kill I-league.
