Again, fair game. Again, this is only a what if situation but you can not tell me that if ATK does make the final and were the higher finishers of the two teams that they should not host.
Its fair and honestly if marketed well could get over 60,000 fans.
Do you know i recently spoke to a youth footballer fom Bagan he told that their low level mathes are held at SL Stadium and no one is bothered about the pitchvery unlikely for a good stadium seating capacity wise
It is the Indian Super League final... this game would feature some of the most prominent stars in India and also, if some people are smart, a chance to show off the ISL to sponsors and such.
I can understand nothing happening for a local league match but this is the ISL final, I am sure something would happen if the final was held there.
The pitch at Salt Lake is horrible right now and they getting back a natural turf pitch after I-League in May. Salt Lake may not be available for next year's ISL as its getting under FIFA scrutiny for the U-17 WC. And a newly laid natural turf will need time to stabilize before you can get serious football on it.
Mumbai is corporate capital and center of Bollywood. Those people are heavily involved in ISL and that is also hometown of ISL owners-Ambani parivaar. They will do some show in Closing ceremony-like Priyanka chopra dance. Thats why they have chosen Mumbai D Y Patil stadium. In 2008, 1st IPL Final was also in D Y Patil Stadium between Chennai and Rajasthan for precisely these reasons.
balwant is shit.. sorry poor footballer. all he does is run like a headless chicken.
Jeje on the other hand is brilliant for indian standards in terms of link up play. good asset when you have a team which wants to play high line possession play. good control on the ball. second only to chettri though.
am pleasantly surprised at khabra's consistency. i like the fact that he takes responsibility professionally and seriously.
denson limited to spoiler roles that kolkata football usually employs. very left footed. but there is enough potential there to work to a level of climax role in indian football.
Balwant is just an example of a player who could have been more with better training at a younger age. He is 28 now, this is who he is and it worked in I-League.
