Thats great but that will take a while to happen and even then you have to think about how much more money will have to be spent. A longer ISL would probably mean more money spent on players as this would be more than 2-3 months of work, same for non-pitch things like the coaches and all the other off-field staff. Training grounds will need to be better maintained as teams would now be spending more, significant time on them instead of once or twice in between games, and costs for facilities.
Also, if they do spend on youth development then that needs to be taken into consideration as well as that would require a lot of money.
So when you have all this money going towards improvements of the league in a longer format then tell me we can sign guys like Ronaldo or Messi straight out of Europe and then once they are done with the US or Middle-East.
It will take time before we can make those type of signings... look how long it took MLS and the A-League etc... and also it is not as if every team in these leagues have big signings... only a few do whereas here in India we expect every team to have one. So much money that it is not feasable right now.
was in the stands at vybk today. few things to share 1. match experience : the stadium looks the same from outside. broken, pale stands from outside. badly need renovation. inside very avarage. good bunch of crowds ( no drunken people, no abusive words). near about 50k crowd( official 37k but it is much higher actually) . facility wise poor. during booking of ticket we were told that we will get bucket seats ( block c, gate 3a). it was plastic chairs ( movable ordinary chairs hired). every one was moving chairs as their wish. few police officials could do nothing. toilet toilet fucking toilet. no light, no water, bad smelling. all as before. nothing changed. over priced chips and water bottle. there is lot to be improved. kolkata crowd isn't noisy. that makes experience a bit low sometimes. not a single mexican wave in whole match. but ipl showed kolkata could be a noisy place.
now 2. The Game : Few minutes in first half kolkata was better side, then goa took over. and they were playing beautifully i must confess. fikru was marked superbly. he can't move at all ( he is an asshole by the way). and the fucker habas why he didn't start with garcia. possession, passing, off the ball run, attacking mentality goa was ahead in every aspect. after first half i thought it's all over. then in the 2nd half atk came back in the game. not fully but too some extent. from stands the penalty decision looked right but still the card was too harsh. anyway again fikru ( fuck) missed good chances. pody looked very good with his run. but one sad point for us we will probably miss arnab mondal in next match. and that fucking habas used LORD masih in place of him. don't know what will happen in the next game
As far as I remember JLN Stadium in Chennai was recently renovated for some event which did not take place. So, this is the reason for good maintenance. I had previously spoken about JLN Delhi. According to @foodydip's statement of Salt lake stadium, I would again like to emphasize on the fact that JLN stadium is probably the best stadium in India in terms of facilities. What I want is to shun the Salt lake stadium. Renovate it from scratch. Give it a good outer skin. Improve everything. From dressing rooms, to etc. etc. But, no one is gonna do that. Is the government supposed to feed the people or again spend lots of money to renovate the stadium.
