Defending champions East Bengal will begin their Calcutta Football League Premier Division A campaign on August 3, when they take on Tollygunge Agragami at their home ground.
According to the fixtures of the first four rounds announced by the Indian Football Association on Thursday, Mohun Bagan’s first match will be against Pathachakra on August 4, while Mohammedan Sporting will face Food Corporation of India (Eastern Zone) in their first game on August 5.
All matches will start at 4:30pm with East Bengal, Bagan and Mohammedan Sporting playing their games at their respective club grounds.
The date of the East Bengal-Bagan Derby hasn’t been announced yet.
EB, MB, MSC will play all their non Derby matches at respective home grounds and under floodlights. Something to look forward for in this year's CFL. Also after eons, EB will field an all Indian forward line. Justin Joby and Vidyasagar Singh are expected to lead the line.
