Kolkata: In a month’s time the entire football crazy fans of the country will be soaking in the atmosphere of another action packed season of Indian Super League. The franchises are busy these days preparing themselves both on and off the field to put up a good show. The promoters IMG-R and ISL have recently launched a promo on inaugural champions Atletico de Kolkata. The promo is already an instant hit among the ATK fans and is sure to pump up the adrenaline rush.
The sequence starts with a Bengali family getting ready to go to watch Atletico de Kolkata play a match. The voice of Atletico’s co owner, Sourav Ganguly could be heard in the background – “Tollygunge hok kingba Delhi’r Daryaganj, Bagha Jatin hok ba Bagha beach, ATK jekhane jekhane khelbe sathe khelbe pratyek Paltu, Babai ar Bumba . Arre moshai geography bodlale ki Bangali bodlay. Football er janya Bangalir heartbeat Bangla tei sona jay.”
The synopsis is, popularity of football among the Bengalis is unparallel. The excitement is even more when Atletico de Kolkata is playing in the Indian Super League. The passion of a ATK fan remains the same any where Atletico is playing in India – from Tollygunje to Daryaganj in Delhi or from Bagha Jatin to Bagha beach in Goa.
