The only cons written in the article that I care about is regarding the poor condition of the turf. It says that the surface is uneven and how sand is being used as a temporary measure to patch it up. Poor drainage system is also a concern. There will be only 12 300 in attendance out of which most will go to sponsors, vips, ministers, reporters and fan club members. Only 2000 for general public. The other ones are not worth worrying for. Its good that the loud annoying music will not be allowed at RS stadium.
There are other good things in the report too. Like an auditorium in the ground floor of the Club House has been converted into two dressing rooms of the sizes of those in YBK(90% done); concrete Ring road around stadium (60% done); irrigation system and 300 kV power station (done); Toilets and other rooms done; Flood light tower erction and commissioning would take 3-4 days max.
Negatives apart from the ones already mentioned by @red_devil, no permanent press box and hospitality box, no overhead sheds.
So everything in the report is not negative; I would say it gave the real picture, save the slightly old photo. And everything coming from @Deb_Ban is not negative as far as ISL is concerned. And ISL-bhakts may please be a little less sensitive to words/ reports coming from non-bhakts.
The Indian players like Arnab Mondal, Lalrindika Ralte, Bikash Jairu and Abinas Ruidas who could not join the pre-season training owing to the Calcutta Football League games, also joined with the team today. Though the team doesn’t have any training today but the players who have just joined the side, will have a warm up season in the afternoon at the Bidhannagar Sports Complex ground. The team will start their full training from tomorrow onwards at the same venue.
