NamewHeld is correct when he says that we also go overboard while celebrating the achievements of Sunder Pichai etc but one thing is there which is,atleast ww have some Method to Madness I.e Atleast Sunder Pichai,Satya Nadella have done their schooling,graduation from IIT's unlike Bangladesh.
What Bangladesh is doing is,basically trying to hide their incompetence with respect to Specific Sport(Olympics).We have also done similar things in past but not to this extent.
@Bad ; This case of Margarita Mamun is slightly different. She used to have Bangladesh passport also in the past until Russia changed their dual Citizenship laws. Margarita Mamun has represented Bangladesh in junior level competitons when she was having both passports. Her nickname even in Russia is Bengal Tiger.
You are correct, but she is representing Russia since 2004 so that's a long time. Junior level representation shouldn't be a big thing because now-a-days Athletes at Senior Level switch their Country.So, Junior level shouldn't have been a big thing but Since Bangladesh is devoid of World Class Talent(except Cricket) so they will Garner what ever praise they can get.
Eg)Most of the Table Tennis players of Chinese origin have started representing other countries but China will never praise their achievements as they have better talent at their disposal.
Bangladesh lacks depth so they'll Garner whatever they can.
