This is insane. It will lead to coaching classes at the end of BE / B.Tech.
If they are really serious about standard of Engineering, why are they allowing thousands of Private Engineering colleges to operate at every nook and corner of the country. If they cant standardise admissions, Exit exam will be a torture for many students.
MCI LIcensing Exam has become a nightmare for many students who did MBBS from Russia. Passing percentage is not even 20%. It will be terrible if same story is repeated here.
Do you know if MBBS degrees from some countries are exempt from the necessity to take MCI licencing exam in order to practice in India? I heard Bangladesh and Nepal. Just rumours ofcourse
One relative of mine did MBBS from Pokhara Nepal from some Manipal University college. But I last heard that she was taking coaching in that Delhi Hub near AIIMS - Gautam Nagar or something like that for this MCI FMGE (whatever it is called) !!!
I am no more in student life so my information is old. But I have heard that there has been some changes in Medical Council of India for sure.
There were stories about Exit exam for everyone- Indian and Foreign MBBS alike.
Sometimes rumours are spread in social media by agents who send student to Russia, China for MBBS.
Any Medical student here at IFN can update us better.
Its not advisable to send anyone outside India for MBBS. Passing NBE s FMGE will be a nightmare.
There s no exit exam proposed but instead, there'll be a national level final year examination . Whether FMGE will be merged with that remains to be seen.
may be it will become compulsary just to appear in gate exam rather than clearing the exam , if thats the case then its good , cause even many psus and many other mncs recruit by keeping gate score as one of main things
MBBS exit exam will also serve as entrance examination for Pg courses. That much I heard. FMGE is nightmare as pass percentage is very low. But it is also to be considered that there is no entrance examination to get admitted in foreign medical colleges. So standardisation must be done at some point I believe. One more thing every medical graduate from foreign medical colleges need to pass fmge. Few Pg degrees like mrcp (uk) etc are recognised by MCI directly
