@footydip ; I dont think that wait time is much. It depends. If you are ill, you can get appointment straightaway within hours. They sort or prioritise based on necessity. There are walk-ins plus Emergency is always open 24 x 7. For MRI scan, one needs to wait like 10 days for non-emergency cases. For emergency cases, it will be faster. You cannot demand to see Specialist straightaway. It goes thru your GP (who is MBBS) and based on his recommendation only you get to see Specialist. you also cant ask that you want this medicine or this surgery !!! NHS Dentists actually try to save your tooth by filling and go for Root Canal only as a last retort unlike Indian ones who has made this a business.
Probably long waiting list is for old people waiting for knee implants or something like that !!!
@Nagendra I understand the cost part but it is because of Insurance companies domination. As far as facilities, Research & treatments are concerned, they are the best. Obamacare failed in reducing the costs- lets see if Trump can push thru something.

Or is it feasible to pump river water from low lying areas to high altitude areas and store them in large artificial lakes , water from which can be used to expand agriculture ?
Can we transform deserts of Rajasthan into green areas with tree or grass cover ?
Or is is feasible to transport all sand from desert and dump it across shoreline to create beaches etc ?
