If I need to park my bike I park in in my front yard, If the Ambanis need to park their vehicle, they build a helipad on their roof. If I want to watch some football, I go to the Maidan and watch the derby, if the Ambanis want sport, they book eight stadiums, eight teams, a TV channel, a horde of film stars, players, bookies, press and have their own match.

ISL is the Ambanis' private entertainment. My (and yours also) opinion does not count here. And it does not have anything related to development of football in India.

IPL, ISL, HIL are avenues for Big Corporates to show investment, convert Black Money to White, get Tax Deductions thru CSR route. But there is a big difference. Other Sports did not sabotage their Domestic calendar or international commitments for this masala league. You still see all domestic Hockey tournaments, all international Hockey tours, all Ranji Trophy, Irani trophy and all. Did they cancel any Irani Trophy or stuff like that saying that Domestic Calendar has no space?
AIFF has become a real slave. Shorten or sabotage I-League, cancel Federation Cup just to please their Masters.
I now appreciate KSFA that they did not succumb to pressure and give their Stadium to Jindals as next we know, BFC is closed down and joined ISL as a Franchise and next we see Priyanka Chopra dancing for Reliance masala league and local Bangalore players have no place to play or even hold any Domestic tournament.
one thing I would like to add is that in IPL or HIL, BCCI or the Sports Association is the Boss. they are deciding on Franchise, Media rights, Sponsorships. Here AIFF is a silent donkey at the corner in ISL.

BBC Panorama should do a documentary on football in India. FIFA has already given their support to ISL.

Whoo! there is some point in that BIG program brings more eyeballs and more notice that they did for a cause. Then you stand as socially responsible guys, who want to bring up something good in India....but seriously you will play up all this for just business in hindsight...In everything there will be salesmanship, finally what is the outcome.
Indian player gets a chance to learn wee bit from zico
Jeje gets a good pass from Ilano!
I see some good in it.

boo hoo..not really understanding the sudden passion about grassroot level football and all.
i can also bet all this talk about anti isl is primarily from bengal and northeastern brothers. the reason is primarily they have been exposed to football at atleast the national level. while the rest of the country has been left hopelessly backwards in football.

In Isl i see that somewhat better spread which i-league never and will never manage to do.

so again i suggest anyone criticizing ISL to think at a national level spread it has managed and has the money power to manage than the poor i-league package so far.
