So where are the 'year round coaching camps'? I did not see one in Kolkata at least.
Aussies are not dominating Asia these days like they used to. A-league cannot be a model for India because they wiped out everything pre-existing and created clubs and league afresh. True birth of a footballing nation.
In India football was existing and thriving in Bengal, Goa, Kerala, North East (and Punjab -- lots of footballers from there). You cannot keep that outside and claim football was introduced to India by Nita aunty and go partying. AIFF should have reinforced their strongholds and then spread out. But they took the easy -- and lucrative also, for PP -- way out.
Bengal is the centre of football , we produce the highest no. of players after goa, bt nw all is gone to shit, we cant do anything abt it!!! I am ashamed of hw my favourite club @eastbengalfc is ignoring youth development and going fr the high sky!!!
Bheke had to deal with 2 people throughout the match yesterday. The reason was Sankar never came to help him. He was just running box to box never looking to get the ball or even receive a pass. All three assist crosses from Shorey came from that end as a result. Peter Taylor is really dumb not to have withdrawn him at half time.
@Deb_Ban You need to review Aussie footy then mate... when the A-League came in it was 100% exactly like what Indian football is going through now. A-League did not wipe everything, it just went over everything.
coemon guyz match starting within 45 mins right no livstreams found yet !!!!, al this #isl shit is bullshit star sports talks about popularising the game , but it is all about #isl ntiing else , all about promoting players who ar way past their prime!!!! #starsports nt fr youth!!!
Dias also expressed his concern for the future of Indian footballers if clubs continued to withdraw in similar fashion. He also believes that the ISL should provide more opportunities for young footballers to grab.
"I heard that Pune FC and Royal Wahingdoh are also planning to close down. Where will the players go? The ISL should give more opportunities to Indian players. Otherwise the younger lot, attracted to football by ISL’s glamour, foreign stars and money, will realise that the reality on the ground is different," he stated.
