Maybe not for ACL but atleast they can upgrade themselves for enough criteria to be eligible for AFC Cup. Somewhere I read that National License is enough for participating in AFC Cup as well as Qualifiers for ACL. Anyways it is impossible to qualify for ACL-so Aizawl FC must have improved in their criteria since last year.
what is Aizawl managed to sign some decent foreign player(the way BFC signed last year during AFC cup final)? its still impossible? btw what's the format for ACL play off? home-away or just 1 match
They can try for next season but the licensing for the current season has been long done. So yes, win or loose, no AFC competitions for them this year.
P.s. Would be more embarrassing if they win both I-League and Fed Cup but still can't play in Asia.
Stadium is there in Guwahati with floodlights, Airport, Hotel. There is no such rule that stadium need to be in their hometown. As said earlier, MB played AFC Cup in Guwahat and Dempo/Churchill Brothers in Pune. Churchill Brothers used to invite some Brigadier or Major General Sahib from Pune Cantonment as chief guest and their entourage (of soldeirs) will satisfy AFC minimum criteria of security personnel needed for the AFC Cup match. (This was shared by gaffertape). They need to look at the Financial audits and be compliant with those criteria.
