KCA is building one stadium in every district for conducting Ranji trophy and district level matches. All stadiums will be ready in 1-1.5 years. Two such stadiums are ready in Trivandrum near Thumba and Krishnagiri in wayanad. These stadiums have mounted grass lawns instead of concrete galleries, somewhat like in some West Indies stadiums. The ground are mostly big around 90m which should help in developing technique as players will look to create boundaries instead of muscling sixes.
Though these are good enough venues, international cricket and IPL will happen only in Trivandrum at Greenfield simply because of facilities and capacity. The KCA stadiums are however very good for domestic and academy level cricket matches.
KCA has plenty of funds and they have top quality functional state academy, 3 regional academies, and one district academy in every district, all proper residential academies where students are given free education and accommodation.
MFC is using the Vashi Father Angel ground for training. Great training set up!
unfortunately our privatized national federation believes setting up training academies is a waste of time. money better used in lining PP's pockets and increasing IMG profits.
