Government has so many other higher priority areas where they must spend. Sports however can thrive on Public Private Partnership.

Mamata was so ready to transfer Barasat stadium to AIFF. If she's so dedicated, she should transfer atleast land to east Bengal and Mohun Bagan to build a stadium.

Government PWD is incompetent to do anything. We already witnessed it earlier this year with the salt Lake pitch.

Government can transfer Rabindra Sarobar and Municipal Corporation stadium to East Bengal and Mohun Bagan. Let the clubs then maintain, develop and operate the stadium.

ATK is planninng an academy in Kolkata with coaches and technical support from Madrid..They might also build a 5000 seater stadium at the complex

As per my sources, atk(atletico madrid) seems really interested in setting up a base(stadium, office and academy) in rajarhat.

PS though i still have my doubts, since they currently operate from the Salt Lake during the ISL

I would AtM to be in India. But do not prefer it from Kolkata due to the presence of huge number of clubs in there. Would prefer them to setup base in other places such as in Kerala or Punjab.

Kolkata has huge number of clubs....But no football infrastructure as such or top level academy
