Raja Das is a product of Jadavpur Ex football association managed by Ex Indian international Surajit Sengupta and earlier played for Rajasthan, Milanbethee and Kalighat club. Last year he was selected for West Bengal Santosh Trophy team and he got some valuable tips from another Ex India international Shisir Ghosh. Raja technically improved under guidance of Shisir Ghosh and eventually became highest scorer for Bengal in Santosh trophy. His dream came true when he got a call from MB official and he has signed a three year contract with present I league champion. He has three idols - Shisir Ghosh, Bhaichung Bhutia and CR7. His childhood coach states that his health and speed are better than average Bengali footballers (I am excited to hear this). He also advised him to not to take pressure as he needs to compete with foreigners for his position, he will have to utilize chances whenever he gets.
Another example of importance of coaching camps in Bengal, with proper academy infrastructures they could have done much much better towards production of young talents.
