I believe he is Indian born but raised in Sydney, Australia. He is currently playing for the Western Sydney Wanderers development team and is an Australian youth international. He seems to have developed a bit since he was last mentioned here a few months ago.
Perhaps an ISL club (or I-League) can sign him on loan as I doubt he will get an A-League game... especially when Western Sydney Wanderers redo their squad from this seasons rubbish.
Would be nice though to eventually have an PIO player on an Asian championship team.
Nirvair’s father hails from Kerala and mother from Punjab. After shuttling between the golf courts and the tennis courts, Nirvair started playing football during summer with friends around where he lived. After he turned 15, it was only football for him and has been so.
He went on to captain his school team at the Inventure Academy. But he soon felt that working for a regular college degree would hamper his football dreams and so he is currently completing his A Level Cambridge examinations privately from June 2014 to focus on his career.
Coach Freddy recommended him to the BFC talent scouts who soon had a look at him. They were convinced that they had a talented boy around and he came to BFC for trials in November 2014. He came in to see if he had a future in the game and knew that he had the technical levels and skills to match up to the rest.
His good work ethic saw him come for training and perform well for a sustained spell of 90 minutes during games. He played every practice game and represented BFC in the under-19 I-League qualifiers and the BDFA super division tournament, earning praise from all quarters as he emerged a consistent scorer and a player who is good at providing astute passes as well.
He caught the eye of the officials and spectators at the BDFA league with his ability to cover ground with the ball at his feet and take people on. With the ability to dribble at a fast pace and take on opponents without having to stop, good ball control, and natural instincts, here is a player who has heart and dedication. He can run directly into the box as soon as he receives the ball and takes a shot at the earliest opportunity.
