Indian Basketball has improved a lot in last few years, even though starting a full-fledged League is difficult but we can expect one in near future. Hopefully we can make difference in the upcoming Asian Games with this Asia Cup tourney being a good exposure.

By the way we need a win against Indonesia to qualify for the Quarter-finals and we do have a match against Asian giants Iran so maybe one more shock ? Who knows.

There have been promising performance from Vishesh and Amritpal Chinese Clubs can sign them ?

The basketball federation is raising the fan base nicely by hosting few competitive 3-v-3 games in cities like mumbai delhi, bangalore to say the least...
during my college days there were at least a dozen from my batch who went for these tourneys and always said that year after ear the opponents level is raising at good rate......

Also their effort to bring NBA players to train kids for few days ma be means these kids got their role models to follow if te plan to stay in the game

the mixture of regular tournaments with exposure to see top talents of the world means in 4-5 years we shall have a significant fan base at least in these cities ... then they shall start wit a 6 team league at beginning covering cities like mumbai, delhi, bangalore, chandigar and 2 more... with marquee players from europe and USA

then we got ourselves a league there to survive and may succeed in next 5-6 seasons

A day after the stunning win over heavyweights China, the Indian men's basketball team has today comprehensively beaten Indonesia 91-55 at the FIBA Asia Cup in Wuhan, to confirm its place in the quarterfinals.

It will be down to india vs iran for 2nd spot...

if we lose we will be playing chinese taipei, ranked 44 it seems... from m memory they got a NBA player so should be a good team.
And if we win we will be facing jordan ranked 30.... another good team..

Anyways it shall be considered a successful tournament for us... but where is TV media??? they arent covering much... hopefully once they reach home they get the respect and fame they deserve for this victory..

Our media is shit. No leading daily reported much. Also tv media. They are obsessed with other nation. Indian people cry if Argentina or Brazil losses a match. But they don't give a second to indian football or other sports.many of my friends don't even know 5 indian international football players. What the *uck is that? Sometime I hate those people, sometime I feel for them. They are so poor so *ucking poor. Any way I may be going off-topic. But really we can't change the scenario if society does not change. No one can change those views. Sometime the environment feels so suffocating.
