•
Does anyone know anything on Rafe. Wikipedia says nothing on him (yet, wait till I am done ;) )

Anyway I dont want us to think he is amazing because he is Syrian. Also remember we beat Syria and yes, we can still beat them today with our best and second best squad.

I disagree. Bagan are not as smart but they have been good. Getting Tolgay, Edeh, Arnab, Odafe (last season), calling up Manish Bargav, getting Jewel Raja and getting that keeper from Churchill (name we both know but cant spell).

There problem is how much they pay the players and how they get the players then get the coach. Also they barely rely on youth. Other than that they have been pretty good.

The following are three good players linked with MFC so far as far as I am aware of. None of these are confirmed by the club yet.

Salao Nuruddin from Green Valley Club, Assam

Reports emerging from Guwahati has linked the Maharashtra club with I-League Div-II outfit Green Valley centre forward Salao Nuruddeen Olawale. Salao has come to national prominance after he scored a scintillating hattrick against Baichung Bhutia's United Sikkim FC in a I-League Group-B game which ended in a 3-3 draw back in February 2012 and his contract with Green Valley has already expired as per "The Sentinel".
[Updated here: http://liveindianfootball.netne.net/1_57]
;

Mumbai FC Is Set To Rope In Lamine Tamba From Air India

Mumbai FC coach Khalid Jamil has shown interest to rope in highly rated Senegalese defender Lamine Tamba from Air India. Tamba, who has been entrusted with the captain's armband for the Pilots in 2011-12 season, is enjoying a superb season with Air India and he has garnered rave reviews from fans and critics. The Airmen are not ready to let him go, but he has not yet signed the contract extension. Mumbai FC's offer is believed to be financially better than that of Air India - which might turn out to be the deciding factor in the end.
[Updated here: http://liveindianfootball.netne.net/1_42]
;

Xavier Vijaykumar Linked With A Move to Mumbai FC

The former HAL skipper, who was inspirational in keeping his side in top division I-League in 2010-11 season, had moved to Churchill Brothers at the end of that season with much expectations. However he could hardly mustar any playing time for the Goan giants and featured in only a handful of local league matches. Desperate to find a club who could guarantee him a place in the starting XI, Vijay has finally found someone to help his cause. Khalid Jamil, highly rated coach of Mumbai FC side has enquired about Vijay's availability to play for the Mumbai-based side in the upcoming season and the creative midfielder has shown positive response. In all possibility, he will be a Mumbai FC player when the next season kicks-off. The deal will cost Mumbai FC close to Rs 25 Lakhs.
[Updated here: http://liveindianfootball.netne.net/1_42]
