According to Riewdondor Khongwir in IFL. Whats the funda?
Mr Nicolai Adam who is the head coach of the U-17 who was supposed to be in shillong for 3 days for scouting the U-17 players of the state have already left the city without giving anyone a chance citing that the players are short and not well build and also said that their age is too young.....this happen yesterday morning at the ground...and at that instant he left only without saying any more... there are around 50 kids who have been already selected by the MFA for this U-17 trial but for Mr Adam these players are not fit cause they are short.... i felt really bad for these kids who have been waiting for this opportunity since a very long time..seriously i was in the ground and these kids can take anyone and can become the best so what if they are short..so many players around the world are short in stature and they are the best...
Best player in I-League Jackiechand Singh ( short) Best midfielder Eugeneson Lyngdoh ( under 6 foot) Best defender Bello Razaq ( under 6ft ) I think even Sony Norde and Debjit Mazumdar are under 6 ft tall...
It is really sad if this is true. Why take such a judgemental stance without even giving them a chance to show their skills?
Will be interesting to see how the team performs under him during the qualifiers later this year
@gaffertape any insights on what is really happening in terms of this scouting mission? Does he is not have any faith in the group of kids who have been training together since 2013 for the u17 world cup?
finally a coach who can spot age frauds with out born marrow test and unfit 3.4 ft kids who are unfit for German style of football. Well done sir Nicolai Adam.
@goalkeepar stop being so insensitive; there is no need to say such things. You don't have any concrete proof to claim those kids are overage; may be in the past there were such (or still exist) players from that region . Doesn't mean that's the case all the time.
@rudra he goes over board at times. He does this a fair bit in Facebook as well (Ofcourse different medium of communication so shouldn't take that into consideration I guess). But ok apologies for my over reaction
