Laudrup is abysmal. He is a poor coach. His teams try to play good football, but his ideology is nonsense. When he was at Swansea, he cancelled training sessions saying its too cold and it was raining! I am very happy he was not considered this time around.
FSG took advice from Bob Bradley (yup Gurpreet's coach) at Stabaek. He told FSG to KEEP Rodgers last summer!
FSG want TOP 4 this season; it's the reason why they have sacked Rodgers as he started his annual excuse of "transition" and "rebuilding" to deflect blame and felt he was not up to the mark. I am very pleased the charlattan that is Rodgers is gone.
You say that Bradley wanted FSG to keep Rodgers as if it was a completely bad thing for him to say. A lot of people, pundits and fans, wanted Brendon out but a lot also wanted him to stay.
I mean, look at Liverpool now. A lot of their fans are excited for the future and have laid out why they are and they make sense but FSG wanted to see how Rodgers would do and he kinda deserved it from the 2nd place (regardless of how he did it; Suarez etc).
FSG took advice from Bob Bradley because they are clueless about "soccer". The long line of mistakes from Dalglish being given full time job, Andy Carroll, Jeff Chang, Damien Comolli, and pretty much everything that happened from Rodgers' appointment to his removal, are all examples of mistakes made by FSG. If after 5 years of owning the club, they still need to seek "advice" from outside, that shows how clueless they are. I will also question their reasons for choosing Bradley. What experience does he have of European football and indeed, at club level to give pertinent advice to LFC? NONE bar his two years at Stabaek. Another example of the very obvious clueless-ness under FSG towards the sporting side of the club. They have done well in other areas, particularly commercially and the development of the stadium, and in reaching out to the supporters, but the main issue they have is there for anyone to see.
I disagree they had to keep Rodgers beyond the summer. It was just another mistake by FSG to keep him past last summer, and now it is clear because they have sacked him, 8 games into the season. Rodgers didn't deserve anything. He was afforded more money and time than most managers in football can ever dream of, and any manager in the history of LFC, and pissed it all up the wall, while obnoxiously blaming everything from the the Transfer Committee, Balotelli, the Anfield pitch, Surez leaving, Sturridge's injury, Balotelli again, Suarez again. He kept talking about a "transition" and "rebuilding" but when it was him in the first place to blame for LFC being in this state for his 4th straight season in charge. He is a charlatan and suffers from incurable verbal diarrhea.
As for Suarez leaving, LFC knew for a long time he was going to leave. Suarez tried unsuccessfully to force his move out of Liverpool first to Juventus, then to Arsenal, and then threatened the club with legal action for not letting him go! I am not even going to talk about the irreplaceable damage he did to LFC through the issues with biting multiple times, and the issue with Evra, which lead to Dalglish being un-ceremoniously fired. But Rodgers still, 3 transfer windows and £180 million later, blames LFCs poor form on his departure. This is laughable. He has spend large amounts of his time skirting around the defensive issues LFC have (they have conceded over 140 goals in 3 seasons he was in charge in the PL compared to 97 Chelsea have as a barometer) and blamed it on "un-coach-able" defensive issues. I could go on, but I think there maybe a word limit. In short, Rodgers was the rot, and FSG needed to get rid of the phony in the summer.
