Sahal should be developed as an attacking midfielder like the role of marcelinho in hyderabad fc. His passing accuracy is not that good. So its better we use him as a substitute. 2 good wingers with good passing abilities and a good striker is the only problem we have. It is not difficult for us to get good full backs from Isl and I league. Brandon, Thapa and Sahal are some good players we have got after long time. So my opinion is our players are not bad. We need the right tactics and right players for some positions.

thats the only positive I can take from last 2 games, that we didn't give up till last minute, but the fact remains that we shouldn't have had to wait till last minute, in both the games.

"We have many new young players coming through and it'll be difficult to expect great results from them immediately. I have enough players in my disposal and I'm not afraid to put an all-new team against Oman

@sam he counts the shots as well. We are better, He will never say we performed bad. Or forget it even say that we need to really improve.

He thinks we have this perfect group of young players who will dominate asia in 2-3 years lol

@giridharan - Not sure how much of what Stimac says makes sense to our general population. Stimac may not be the best coach in the world (just so you know, INDIA currently cannot afford the best coach in the world, even if INDIA can afford - the best coach would not want to coach a lowly ranked INDIA), but I do think he is the right coach for INDIA for the next few years until INDIA learns to play this high passing cohesive style of play. Any team in any sport - can climb up the ladder only one step at a time. From 100th rank you cannot suddenly jump to 50th rank (in 6 months) just because you drew with 65th ranked team once. It is an up and down process, until you master the needed skills to deliver consistent performances on the field and have critical mass of players with the same level of skill sets - which takes years to master.

Few of Stimac's comments in the recent past shows clearly that he fears that his head is on the chopping block, and hence trying to justify every action of his.
