Basically, the AIFF has laid out some plans for women's football in the country. Some of these goals are reasonable. A rise to the top 40 in the world and top 8 in Asia will be tough though. In order to do this we need to see the India women's side be able to defeat teams that do not only reside in South Asia. Most of our victories come against teams in South Asia or other minnows but when faced with a somewhat challenge we fail to rise to the occasion, this needs to change if we are to see a change in our ranking.
The planning women's league for 2015 I believe can help us. Technically the professional women's league could mean that India is already ahead of the grand majority of countries ahead of us in the FIFA Women's Rankings in terms of development. The only professional women's leagues in the world can be found in the United States and Sweden while the other semi-pro ones are in Australia, England, France, Greece, Japan, South Korea, and Turkey. We can probably nick-pick some players from these leagues for the Indian league.
The goals at youth level meanwhile seem somewhat realistic. We should be able to qualify for the AFC U19 and U16 competitions but whether we can do it through the academies we have for the boys is a question of how much funding we have.
Good steps taken here. I am very excited about the professional league next season and hope to see Indian women's football rise as well. If women's football can make it in India then, along with the men's game, football could become the national sport of India in as soon as 10-15 years.

I really do hope we start an ISL for women's football. Ideally, we have a massive chance of getting one of the best leagues in the world than in the mens game.
but when we call foreign women player we should give more focus on their beauty than their skills if they look good they will get crowd automatically ...
Russian will be wonderful ...few years back some women team planned to play football in bikini to attrack crowd ... m.sportskeeda.com/football/russian-women-football-club-team-to-play-in-bikini
