United Sc , Churchill Brothers and Rangdajied United Will not be playing Next year I league as they all failed AFC License Criteria
Bengaluru FC, Dempo SC, Pune FC, Salgaocar SC, East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, Sporting Clube de Goa, Mumbai FC and Shillong Lajong FC have successfully fulfilled the Licensing Criteria
Newly promoted Royal Wahingdoh have been given an one-time exemption applicable for a year only to tick all the boxes. The clubs are expected to meet several legal, administrative, sporting, infrastructure and financial criteria.
Its difficult to get a renounced player to I-league even as marquee player with extra pay ( though skeptical how will they pay that ) as of today. But nevertheless it is a good move by AIFF which can be improved\changed over time to meet requirement.
And the clubs are already looking for loopholes... So there goes the rule.... The thai fa had implemented a criteria for icoon players which if adopted by AIFF would have been great. But at the end of the day AIFF needs to make i-league a different entity and make sure that the money from the tv rights go to the clubs
Sunando Dhar had tried to propose that I-League 2015-16 start in June/July 2015 to accommodate the ISL in the winter break " November to January !!
Is there no end to this mans stupidity.
To date he hasn't managed to schedule a full I-League calendar in 1 go, this year he had provided 75% at the start which was an improvement...only to hash it all up at the end.
Looks like ISL has to get their way in all discussions at the moment
