Once upon a time in Nepal, they had severe clothing crisis. There was nothing to wear and people went back to using banana leaves. This was the time when they sought help from India. India, who was already helping Nepal with electricity, food grains, employment in the services showed more generosity and offered a very useful clothing material called Dhoti. This Dhoti is a long plain white or cream colored cloth piece, a traditional clothing material in India. This single piece of clothing helped the tiny Nepal cover their modesty. Ever since the Nepalis shout 'Dhoti' out of gratitude!
