@Soccerlover I agree with the fact that EB have been probably the most successful club with Dempo in the past decade.
My response to your points:
1. The club officials also screw around with players and the 'reduce my salary because I love EB' was a publicity stunt, which in reality was that the club told players that you either take the pay cut or your life will be made hell.
2. Agree on this point, but the market rate of the same players is increased by the Kolkata clubs by offering them over the top money, and after paying this money, the clubs think that they can screw around with the player's career.
3. It is time they realize that they need to put their house in order.
All I am trying to say is that EB have made and destroyed careers of loads of players.
Btw club's who have a very clean transfer policy are BFC, Salgaocar, Pune FC(even though they exploit players by paying them absolute peanuts) and now Dempo.
1. The club officials also screw around with players and the 'reduce my salary because I love EB' was a publicity stunt, which in reality was that the club told players that you either take the pay cut or your life will be made hell. The publicity stunt has been made by the players (loving EB etc), when they saw there was no way the club wud increase their salary and THEY HAD NO TAKERS; Look at Ranry Martins - he was of the same opinion last year, when he was "madly in love" with Payag - his love stemmed from the fact that there was no takers for him! Look at Ranti this year - why is he not professing his unending love for United - reason being they dont have a sponsor and he has now a "new-found love" in EB!
2. Agree on this point, but the market rate of the same players is increased by the Kolkata clubs by offering them over the top money, and after paying this money, the clubs think that they can screw around with the player's career. Thats b'cos I said Kolkata officials are equally jokers and thug(cut money) - a double whammy - hence the players have used it to their advantage - its like : u scratch my back, i scratch urs! But I dont agree to ur theory of Kolkata clubs' screwing a players' career - Ask Odafa and he will only laugh at it! 6.5 crores in 3 years and he was absolutely hail n hearty - no performance to speak about! Almeao would hv had a heart attack, if he had to invest so much without any return!
3. It is time they realize that they need to put their house in order. I guess, with people after the officials' blood(in Bagan), they have now no other alternative but to set the house in order - even then it wont be flawless.
@Soccerlover I am talking about players who already had a contract for this year my friend. Those guys were forced to take pay cuts. If any sensible player would have stuck to his contract, EB would have to shell out all the money. And at the end of the day, a player plays for money, so I think Ranty's example is wrong, as to compare the situations at USC and EB is absurd.
Oh and about Odafa, hold that thought just yet..... You will come to know in a few days.
