I league should have provided a good broadcasting system otherwise emergence of new club not possible.AIFF should heed on that.ISL have glamour & broadcasting system but they dont have any youth setup system right now.AIFF should balance between club & franchise.
will the AIFF announce new clubs after the i-league has started?
I think the main reason why those three clubs (Minerva, Bardez and Chennai city) have not been confirmed is due to the Bank guarantee clause or other financial considerations which is bullshit to be expected for the brand value that AIFF has to sell itself.
I think with the state the i-league is in u need more clubs than what ur losing every season.
If we allow all 4 in then that means 5 teams can go without relegation. Bengaluru FC had their 3 seasons and can be relegated now and DSK Shivajians are in year 2 so are still exempt.
That makes an interesting prospect... BFC, EB, Mohun Bagan, Mumbai FC & Shillong Lajong FC remain as possible relegation candidates. If by any chance any of the big 3 (BFC, EB & Mohun Bagan) finish behind Mumbai FC & SLFC then that team will get relegated even if they finish at 5th. position in a 10 team league........ a very interesting prospect......must be unique in Global Football. Hats Offffff to AIFF for a discovering a way to keep all of us engrossed in the forthcoming I-League.
