They have considered AFC cup in scheduling so we are expecting a possibility of shifting just one fixture in between if our NT are to play in Asian qualifiers.
@shankar Our NT first round Asian Qualifiers will be on same or very closeby dates as AFC Cup for BFC, EB. Now somebody will have to make sacrifice. Either India NT will play without BFC, EB players or those two clubs will play their AFC Cup games without NT players.
Having seen all the teams play so far...I will predict that Mohun Bagan & Dempo will finish above both Bangalore FC and East Bengal thiso season. Both look very well balanced.
Only poor management or in fighting will de-rail these 2 teams. Both also have much better bench strength.
Sporting Club de Goa better hope that former SESA Technical Director TASOS can improve things.
Mohun Bagan seem to be a good team. The foreigners also are of reasonable quality. Sony Norde is above many in this league. Only problem is the central midfield area. Lalkamal is past his prime. They need a better attacking mid.
Salgaocar too has a good team. But Derrick is acting like an idiot. If he gets a good asian right back, they will do well. IMO, playing saran in centre mid along with oldie Rocus is the most lame decision.
Don't think Mohun Bagan need an Attacking mid...they already have 4 attacking players.....Katsumi & Sony Norde wide,, Balwant / Jeje along with BOYA in the middle,,,so they need the balance with 2 sitting mids like Denson & Lalkamal / Souvik
The full backs Souvik and Pritam are also good going forward, as can Dhana if he manages to get his spot back
This MB team has been the most balanced team in the last few years. For me the right wing is a position for concern. Boya due to his lack of speed would best utilized if he plays just behind the striker. So yusa has to be moved around. It might sound ridiculous but would like to see yusa playing alongside denson in the pivot with Balwant in the right wing.
