The better question is how many of the guys from ISL who did well are doing well in the I-League? Only Romeo Fernandes has really lived up to his expectations since the ISL finished.
I think Indian players did considerably well in ISL cause they were surrounded by stronger foreign players.This therefore hid their weaknesses. Here, they are exposed.
I personally believe that it is because they think higher of themselves now. Jayesh Rane would never have had that performance he had two days ago in the ISL, meanwhile, where is Jeje Lalpekhlua? The guy has been great in the I-League before and then sort of did well in the ISL but when Mohun Bagan play he is barely a contributer.
Jeje is 2nd Choice behind Balwant in a 4-2-3-1/4-4-1-1 formation. Few of the Indian players have grown in confidence and are trusting themselves a bit more( not overestimating their abilities)
