aiff don't need to pay for fake visit ...if its India vs Japan anywhere in India attendance will reach 50000 provided stadium has that capacity ..I like this match to be played in salt lake stadium ..

Well this is why in India we need to do better with VIP boxes and such so that celebrities will want to come to these type of games.

@preetam why play at Salt Lake stadium...

Worst field in India by a mile..or is that because the bumpy uneven surface will be a hindrance to the technically superior Japanese team who would otherwise smash us 10nil

Let's 1st start to meet Malaysia , Thailand, Singapore type teams before day dreaming

Celebrities can stick to cricket till then

I disagree to an extent but also understand... having one come to India vs Japan is like saying "I hope you enjoyed the game, hope we destroyed every bit of affection you had for Indian football."

home team should take advantage of home condition... and capacity of salt lake stadium is 65000 so attendance wise it will be good match ...

Taking advantage of home condition doesn't mean forcing two teams to play on doormat with potholes. That what YBK is now. Here our own players will be uncomfortable too. "Home advantage" means where home team players will have advantage like Ambedkar in monsoon with a full house.

With the stands close to the pitch it will add the home feeling. In recent past India's record has been well in the Ambedkar.

Film stars do not carry the match, it's the other way round. They will attend a match only 1) if they are paid, 2) if there is a film release so that they can capitalize on the ready audience, 3) if there is live telecast.

Not out of love for the game (yes, including John Abraham).

Salman Khan was selected as brand ambassador for Indian football, did he attend (or even spent a byte on Indian football) a single match? He found out that there is no juice in it for him, and deserted as fast as he could. Ranbir and Abby stuck around for the obvious reasons.
