Game should be awarded to east bengal. Punishment should be given to authorities for holding so many events - was there any need for Brazil masters game one day before??? Then who is the site engineer of Salt lake Stadium?? Ddidnt they see broken pieces of concrete? Sports minister should take the blame for not repairing floodlights in last 1 year and not maintaining stadium properly. Noone wants repeat of 1980 when 16 fans died in Eden Gardens after derby match.
What non sense you are talking. Why the hell site engg is responsible. It was the duty of EB to inspect the site and get everthing in order. All the people you mentioned above have nothing to do with football.
Owner of stadium is not East Bengal, it is State Government of West Bengal. Cant they see that there are broken pieces of concrete or there is concrete which can be broken???Site engineer signs the certificate that stadium is safe for match. :P

So you blindly believe what site engg says. There is something called "Responsibility" which EB should have taken. Why they are using such broken stadiums of state govt. The govt has not forced them to play there. Before leasing out anything, I am sure the first thing to do is to check the condition.
@Domnic@Ashlesh On Goal.com, someone has commented that There was construction debris lying in the stadium as the owner of stadium-in this case State Government of West bengal- local department is negotiation funds with contractor regarding cleaning of debris. Then stadium should have been given to East bengal from State Government atleast 48 hours before the game. But guess what??? They were hosting useless Brazil masters match one day before. So East bengal got stadium just one night before the match and match was next afternoon. So there is a lapse by State Government and Site Engineer. I am not saying that salt lake or Fatorda should not hold match. It is shameful that 1 year has passed since floodlights repair started in Salt lake and debris lying there. fatorda floodlights took 4 years to repair and Dempo had to withdraw becoz there is no stadium in Goa with AFC approved. Infrastructure issues are there-Calcutta or Goa.
@munna. There is no other stadium in Goa that will get AFC approval. Only Fatorda comes close to the criteria.
Since fatorda is under renovation, hence no other stadium for Dempo. And lots of stones are available inside stadium. All the stones in the stadium have one word written on them "KARIM".
Tilak and Duler will never satisfy AFC guidelines.

Funny part is that Karim still has to go back to Goa 3 more times this season... that will be fun.
