Mallya Ji has two types of business-one is United Spirits which market whisky like Mcdowells no 1, DSP, Bagpiper and other one is Kingfisher Beer under United breweries. The United Spirits business is now slowly taken over by British Company Diageo Plc. Diageo has majority shares. Kingfisher business is still majority owned by mallya ji.
I don't think the majority share is of UB (for both the clubs). These are 50-50 JVs. If MBAC/ EBFC decide to walk out they can, and the JV will be shut. On the other hand, if UB walks out, MB (or EB) can look for new partner.
This is just stupid... really. This club, and East Bengal, have the potential to make something like the ISL something that is massive in world football but they just can't!
They still dont have a sponsor and its for certain that lot of players wont get their paychecks once I-League is over. So you never know, they might pull out something from the bag, may be a big money new sponsor.
