50 odd MB fans braved pouring rain and a police force ( couple vans and 3 patrol cars) to protest against club officials yesterday evening. The protesters walked from the Gostho Paul statue to the Princep ghat roundabout chanting slogans against club officials and in support of last season's coach Subrata Bhattacharya with full media and a sizeable police force giving them company. MB general secy termed the protest "motivated" while also pointing out that Lajong fans don't protest if their team looses. He also felt that protests need to be "constructive", neither destabilizing nor motivated, which he hinted all protests by MB fans this far were. Yesterday's protest have made it to the sports page of Bengali dailies except Sangbad Pratidin and Channel 10. Rplus channel did an extensive coverage of the protest yesterday late evening.

They already did a report on it yesterday, maybe that's why no mention
Just a line was written in the sports page yesterday in the context of MB's current situation. It wasn't covered extensively.I do not know who is anchoring this protest...obviously its a great gesture and a laudable effort. But for this move to be successful, one needs to involve the big guys...whats the reach/viewership of R Plus ? Am not very sure. Unless we have 24 Ghantas, ABP Ananda covering this big time,I dont see anything significant happening. Also I know many who just create this kinda uproar just to make himself or herself visible to a group - thats about it.
THE LATEST BUMMER being none of the home games of MB will be telecast until the officials reply to ten sports their selection of ten games. It's been widely suspected this is a ploy by the officials to prevent fans from watching the team play on TV, which they have been very shrewdly doing over the last couple months, such pathetic has been the team performance.
Even as a eb fan myself it is very sad to see that fans have to protest to make there club play better. I can feel there pain even i had to feel the same pain few years ago. Hats of to the mb fan for there peacefull protest not like what some over imotional eb fans did few years ago and even last year. Wish them luck and a good win against pusc.

That is just fuc*ing insane now!!! If that's true then who knows what will happen!
Just keep the protests at peaceful Bagan fans, your club will get better.
